Through Virtualizor Panel, you may install cPanel. But because the installation of cPanel takes a long time, Virtualizor Panel doesn’t tell whether the installation of cPanel is finished or whether it is stopped because of an error. We recommend that you install cPanel via SSH. The installation via SSH will give detailed information.
Step 1: Make sure that the system of your VPS is CentOS 6.x x86_64 and freshly installed without any website or database.
Step 2: Make sure that the hostname of your VPS is a fully qualified domain name (FQDN. Please read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fully_qualified_domain_name). If not, it is very easy to set a valid hostname via Virtualizor Panel.
Step 3: Connect your VPS via SSH.
Step 4: Install Perl.
yum install perl
Step 5: Open /home directory.
Step 6: Get the latest cPanel installation script.
wget -N http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/latest
Step 7: Run cPanel installation script.
The installation of cPanel should take a long time.
When cPanel is successfully installed, you will see:
“Congratulations! Your installation of cPanel & WHM xx.xx is now complete. The next step is to configure your server.”
You need to reboot the VPS by command “reboot”.
